Most of us choose to believe that we are people who work actively within the framework of our fabric of life. What we forget while attending several practice sessions is that no amount of training of time management classes can get us make the most out of life.

What's important in planning an active life really is a bit of zest for life and dollops of discipline
Matter of routine
If you’d notice it’s really a matter of routine. The more active you are or have been the better equipped you are to handle stress. Of course this would mean looking a little differently (read as little less lethargically at life) than you would have done so far.
Let’s look at the chores that you can guide yourself by while hoping to live your life to the fullest.
We’ll begin by building some interesting and innovative exercises into your daily routine:
Axe television Time
You’d never realize until electricity fails you on the time you spend watching the idiot box. It might just seem like thirty minutes of lazing around and yet another thirty minutes of you favorite soap, but what you’ve really done is wasted a whole hour of the time that could perhaps be spend in chopping vegetables or getting that marinade ready.
Move as much as possible
When you make in your to-do lists allot some time to note down the things that you can get yourself to do while taking a walk. Groceries for example could mean a 15 minute brisk walk on a holiday as you’d be exhausted by the time you get back home with a huge pile, after a day’s hard work. While mentioning the home, allow yourself to walk up to the water cooler to fill in your own bottle of water and drink as much as water as you can. After all it will guarantee that you’d make frequent trips to the loo.
Stand your talk
While answering the phone deliberately stand. This may seem weird but if you’d notice, you’d establish two major things in life. First, because you are standing, you won’t stand for that long. Secondly you would want to end that conversation fast as you cannot stand all day, thereby allowing your mind to work fast. So along with a physically active "you", you’ll also make yourself mentally more active than you were. You could also do this while adjusting or tracking your television or radio.
Spice up your life
Use the music system to give you company to finish up your regular chores. Try playing foot-tapping numbers that make you alive after a tired day. When you really feel low, it’s best if you simply choose to either dance away your blues or indulge in the same monotonous activity on a different beat.
Pamper yourself
When life becomes only a matter of looking good and being good, trying doing well for yourself too! Get involved in either gardening, or playing tennis or even walking your dog. As all these hint at exercise at your own pace and convenience; it’s a sure way to get you active and in shape.
Make Calls
* Call up your near and dear ones, or allot a day each to each relative. This might bring you closer to them and can jointly give you party and picnic ideas with the family. At best after having joined clubs or similar interests involve your family too in these affairs.
These were some ideas to get you started. In case you are falling short of the Big "M", or motivation, here’s what you can do.
* Begin with managing your ideal or desired body weight. Often being over weight or obese cannot get to have the active life that you so desire. If you need to indulge in surfing the net to get hold of various diets, mark these as a part of your activity. It helps in making you livelier and not let you feel disheartened.
* Look up on long lost friends, those who can help you bring back that spark in you.
*If need be, ask your general practitioner about the surgical methods to lose weight. If you feel they are expensive, well there’s a blessing in disguise. Making sure that you make enough money, you’ll also be involved in a lot of planning to work towards making that money.
It’s a vicious cycle really; the more active you live the better are your chances of survival with age. All you need is a bit of planning, oodles of discipline to follow a set pattern and the perseverance to get there!
